Melbourne Water Community Grant: A grant of $2000.00 was awarded for equipment and plants to be used for restoration work on Stony Creek (phase 1).
Melbourne Water Newsletter Grant: A grant of $200 was awarded for use on production and mailing expenses for the group's newsletters.
Contractors supplied to remove Willow trees from within Stony Creek. These contractors also helped remove certain middle story weeds.

The area of Stony Creek that is presently being worked on is managed by Parks Victoria. SCYRG is an affiliated group to Friends of Warrandyte State Park (FOWSP), and as such has received advice and material assistance, indemnity insurance, plants and other resources from the FOWSP nursery and Parks Vic staff.
Parks Victoria contractors have also undertaken Blackberry spraying in Stony Creek on behalf of SCYRG.
Additional resources such as tree guards and stakes have been donated to SCYRG by Warrandyte State Park

Nillumbik Shire has provided us with a green bin for weed removal, advise and have undertaken balckberry spraying in adjacent land to reduce the blackberry impact upon the area SCYRG is currently working on.
The Shire have provided plant guards and stakes for use with our creek restoration work.
The council also offers free courses of environment content that members of our group have been able to participate in.
We are in contstnt contact with staff from Nillumbik Council.
